Blazing fire organ
The operators of the French theme park „Grand Parc Puy du Fou“ entrusted lunatX special effects GmbH with the fixed installation. Since the 1st of July the show „Les Orgues de Feu“ amazes the visitors of the theme park over a period of 48 days. Highlight of the daily performance is the new fire and water organ installed in the lake, which surprises with its flame effects.
The huge 25 x 9 m organ performs a fire spectacle synchronous to the music during the 30-minute show, seemingly spraying directly out of the instrument. Altogether 13 flame effects shoot out of the top of 9m high organ further 11 are installed in the lake. lunatX generates this optical highlight with its innovative proprietary development X-FLAMEliquide C.1. Next to the installation of the equipment lunatX supplied the whole control and monitoring system as well as the peripheral equipment required for operating the flame system.
The particular challenge was the site of installation of the flame system, which was amongst hundreds of fountains in the lake and despite being continuously pounded by water they fired reliably each evening. Accordingly the client was more than happy with the system, the consulting quality and lunatX’s show design. lunatX’s CEO Frank Lohse was responsible for the show design.
