Bregenz Festival
lunatX was commissioned with the contract to arrange for the special effects for Giuseppe Verdi’s “Aida” for two seasons at the Bregenz Festival. For this purpose four units of the in-house developed X-FLAMEliquide C.1 were installed. The underwater installed flame units are lifted out of the water during the performance and are fired according to the dramaturgy of the act.
The flame units had to be mounted underwater so that floating structures and boats could pass during the performance. For the Opera the units are lifted pneumatically out of the water and have to fire reliably. lunatX had already supplied 50 units of the predecessor model to the X-FLAMEliquide C.1 for the Il Trovatore Staging on the Bregenz floating stage 2006 / 2007.
